PAYING YOUR WATER / TAX BILL
The Town of Pembroke provides many ways for you to pay your water and tax bill.
We provide four different ways in which you can pay your Town of Pembroke water bill and three different ways for your Town of Pembroke tax bill.

PAY YOUR BILL ONLINE (WATER & TAX)
The Town of Pembroke is set-up to take online payments using CC Payment Service. A convenience fee does apply.
To make a payment online, visit CC Payment Service and click make online payment. Please make sure you have your customer water account number in order to make payment.
You can also make a payment through the Town of Pembroke website. Click Pay Bill on homepage and this will take you directly to a link that says Pay Your Water Bill. You will also need your customer water account number for this option as well.
Your payment is received electronically in our office the next business day and the payment is posted to the customer's account.
PAY YOUR BILL WITH AUTOMATIC BANK DRAFT (WATER ONLY)
This process is started through the customer with a voided check or deposit slip. Funds are automatically withdrawn from customer's checking account on the due date. This will ensure on time payments and no disconnection fees for non-payment.
PAY YOUR BILL BY MAIL (WATER & TAX)
Place your check or money order in the mail, along with your bill or account number for reference if possible. Mail check or money order to Town of Pembroke, PO Box 866 Pembroke, NC 28372.
PAY YOUR BILL IN PERSON WITH CASH, CHECK, MONEY ORDER, OR CREDIT / DEBT CARD (WATER & TAX)
STARTING A NEW ACCOUNT
An application for opening a new residential water account or commercial water account is needed along with required deposit fees. Our residential application or commercial application can be downloaded, faxed, or pick up at our Town Hall office. A business registration application form should be filled out along with the commercial application as well.
All customers for town water shall be required to make a deposit to secure water services.
Residential customers shall pay $150 deposit which includes $100 deposit fee, plus $50 trash container fee. Non-Residential customers shall pay $100 deposit fee. The individual name that the deposit is made in shall be responsible for all bill payments on that account. When water service is disconnected and all remaining balances are paid, the remaining deposit will be refunded. If you own the property where you need water service, no deposit is required. If a deposit is required, that shall be paid in cash or check. We do not accept card payment for water deposit.
Transfer of Service
Customers must come to Town Hall office and fill out a new residential water application to have your services transferred. Any account with a balance will not be transferred until paid in full.

When are Utilities Bills Due
Current bill: due by the 25th of the current month
Prior due bills: due by the 5th of the current month
Cutoffs begin: 6th of the current month
$20.00 reconnect fee will be charged if service is disconnected for non-payment of prior due bills. If making payment online, payments should be posted no later than 5:00pm on the 5th for payments to be post the morning of the 6th. If you post your payment after 5:00pm it will not post to your account until the morning of the 7th. If you do not make your payment by 5:00pm on the 5th you need to make arrangements to come into the office on the 6th or your water will be disconnected.
